How has your time and experience in Science Fairs impacted your life?
It has helped me build connections with new friends and developed a bond with my amazing partner.

Where did you find inspiration for your science projects?
The inspiration for my 2019 project came from a conversation I had with my Grandparents who were refugees to Canada and brought with them lots of cultural knowledge from Africa.

Who is someone in science who inspired you? And why?
In the realm of science, I was inspired by my Chemistry Teacher, Ms. Kiren Morgan.

Can you share a memorable experience you had at a Science Fair?
This year, during the Canada-Wide Science Fair I most fondly remember doing various trials for the psychology lab in which we measured how physical activity effected alertness in the brain. It was fun to watch people actually be effected by different levels of activity and showed how science can come to life.

Does an interest in Science run in your family?
Not heavily, my Mother was an arts student and my Father was a business student. Only my Brother and Uncle went into the sciences, but they both heavily convinced me to do Science Fair.

What advice would you give to fellow students interested in Science?
Follow your passions and keep pursuing them beyond the classroom.

Open Question: Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Science Fair, especially the Canada-Wide Science Fair, gives you what you put into it.

How many years did you participate in Science Fairs? And at what level?
I have participated in five Regional Science Fairs and one National Fair.
