For Volunteers

We rely on the dedication and generosity of volunteers across BC and the Yukon to help us inspire and support youth in science and technology education. These are some of the ways you can get involved with our organization.

These resources below are meant to support the incredible volunteers who plan, organize and facilitate regional science fairs across BC and the Yukon each year. Many of the resources here have been generously shared by regional volunteers and we will continue to update this page as new resources are shared or developed.

If you have resources to contribute, or are looking for something specific, please contact info@sciencefairs.ca

Speaker Sessions

Each month, Science Fair Foundation BC hosts a virtual meeting for regional science fair organizers where we discuss plans for the upcoming science fair season, share ideas, and learn from each other. Previously, we gathered experts and science fair veterans to speak at our meetings about some of the fundamental components of running a regional science fair. These Speaker Sessions were previously facilitated & are timed to support science fair committees in planning and implementing an April science fair.

Judging Assignments

For regional science fairs or larger district or local fairs in BC and the Yukon, we have additional resources to optimally assign judges to projects based on scientific topic, age group, and other criteria. For more information about these resources, please contact info@sciencefairs.ca
