Speaker Sessions Archive
Previously, Science Fair Foundation BC hosted virtual sessions for regional science fair organizers where we discuss plans for the upcoming science fair season, share ideas, and learn from each other. You can view the slide decks, resources, and recordings here.
2025 Youth Innovation Showcase
August to January
Going into its seventh year, the Youth Innovation Showcase was born out of the desire to create a platform to showcase the innovative ideas and solutions from youth and young adults between the ages of 12 and 19 from across BC and the Yukon Territory. Finalists will have their pitch videos reviewed by industry experts in November for a chance to win $5,000. See what happened at YIS 2024 here.
STEM Project Grant
Two intakes: September 2025 & January 2026
Created for youth looking for more financial support in their pursuit of STEM inquiry, the STEM Project Grant is inviting BC and Yukon students between the ages of 9 and 18 to apply for funding that will help them build their STEM project, or compete in a Science Fair Foundation BC event. Grants of between $50 to $200 will be awarded to successful applicants who can demonstrate the grant money will substantially contribute to their understanding of and development in STEM. STEM Classroom Grant
Intake: Spring 2026
Created in response to a growing need from educators, we are opening the STEM Classroom Grant in Spring 2026. Sign-up to receive more information about the grant, once available in early 2026.
